Empowering Independence for People with Disabilities

Building Inclusive Communities Through Person-Centered Support

Independence means something different for every individual, especially for people with disabilities. At Housing, Advocacy, Vocational, and Employment Support Incorporated (HAVE Support), independence is defined by choice, dignity, and opportunity. As a Maryland-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2023, HAVE Support is committed to empowering individuals with disabilities to live meaningful, self-directed lives within inclusive communities.

Serving Carroll, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Washington Counties, HAVE Support provides comprehensive services designed to meet individuals where they are. Through person-centered planning and flexible service delivery models, participants are supported in achieving their personal goals—whether that means living independently, gaining employment, or becoming more engaged in their community.

Two Service Models, One Mission

HAVE Support proudly offers services through both Provider-Led Services and Self-Directed Services (SDS), approved by the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). This dual-model approach ensures that individuals and families can choose the level of structure and control that best fits their needs.

Provider-Led Services offer professionally managed support with trained staff delivering high-quality care. Self-Directed Services empower participants and families to select and direct their own support workers, with HAVE Support providing guidance, vendor services, and back-up support.

A Commitment to Dignity and Choice

From community living and supported employment to personal supports and transportation services, HAVE Support is guided by one core belief: every person deserves to live with dignity, independence, and purpose. By amplifying the voices of people with disabilities, HAVE Support is helping build communities where everyone belongs.
